Julian Gnatenco, E.I.T., has over 10 years experience in the field of Civil and Transportation Engineering. Since joining Regina Webster & Associates as Project Engineer, he has been involved with transportation data collection, arterial analyses, capacity analyses, arterial modeling with Synchro, evaluation of alternate geometric configurations, VISSIM modeling and Sim traffic analyses. Mr. Gnatenco has worked with the Illinois Department of Transportation, Chicago Department of Transportation, Chicago Transit Authority, Chicago State University and several municipalities including the Village of Lake Zurich. Mr. Gnatenco is currently involved with the McCormick Place West Expansion project, where he performs intersection capacity analyses and prepares intersection design studies and traffic signal plans. The project scope includes geometric design and weaving analysis of the State Street and Martin Luther King ramps at I-55 using Synchro, and a VISSIM analysis of circulation around the site.

Mr. Gnatenco received his Civil Engineering education at Technical University Gh. Asachi in Iasi, Romania. He also received training in Synchro and Sim Traffic and Microstation training in the USA. He has worked in the Chicago metropolitan and northeastern Illinois areas.

In addition, prior to joining RWA, Mr. Gnatenco worked as a senior inspector at the Ministry of Public Works and Territorial Arrangement in Romania, and as a project engineer in Romania and Israel supervising the construction of large site projects including hospitals, bridges and apartments. Duties included laboratory analysis of materials, preparation of shop drawings, layout, quantity takeoff, verification of as-built plans and construction inspection.
